Dear Alan and Stacey Franks,
I am taking the opportunity to say a big thanks for coming to Creekside and showing us what nice things we can do for our local environment and since I have the
privilege of living on a five acre property it was very interesting. So now I can help the animals that live in my very big and old hollow tree. I also really
appreciated the video that you brought into my school. It made me think how very lucky I am to live on an
acreage.
Your sincerely on behalf of the year 4/5 class

Hi Alan and Stacey,
1 just wanted to update you regarding the small parrot nesting box you installed on a gum tree in our garden in Buderim at the end of July this year.
Initially, it took only one week for the nesting box to get occupied by a pair of rainbow lorikeets (photo enclosed). A pair of pale-headed rosellas was also very interested. However, the local
kookaburras didn't like this at all and continued to dive-bomb the box and its inhabitants until they left. They also tried hard to make the opening larger, so they could fit in.
Just last week, a new pair of lorikeets has taken up residence, so far undisturbed.
Seasons Greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.
Yours sincerely,
Ralf Dietzgen

Dear Alan &Stacey ,
Enclosing copies of the film I took over Easter including the Hollow Log Homes, display at Garden Lovers Centre.
Included the photos taken at "Patanga"- 230 Goondoon St the name means place amongst the gums.
I learnt a lot from our chats and thankyou for your site inspection and helping me with my problem of no tenants in my nest boxes.
It was exciting to find that sugar gliders were feeding on my gum trees.
Fancy, I live there and have not seen a glider, I must admit that I don't go spotlighting for them.
Your visit , hopefully will get John Noort fired up again and into action
building more boxes for Tondoon Botanic Gardens. I am not in favour of selling to the public , as now your excellent Hollow Log Homes are readily available at Garden Lovers.
Keep up the good work you are really a support to wildlife . Let me know when you are coming here again. Pity you are so far away , as I believe the schools in this district are really worth an educational visit and that may result in wildlife nestboxes getting some acceptance ,
through student interest
Regards
Ruth Crosson.

Dear Alan and Stacey
LETTER OF APPRECIATION FOR NESTBOX WORKSHOP AT FORESTDALE ON 20'm MAY 2001
Council's Parks branch would like to pass its sincere thanks and appreciation for the very informative and professional presentation that you gave at Forestdale on
the 2nd May 2001. Many myths and false assumptions were dispelled regarding nest boxes and important considerations on monitoring and maintenance was also valuable information for the
Community. All the participants that attended the day gave positive feedback on the information and the content of your talk.
The members of the Oxley Creek Environment Group (OCEC) who were
responsible for making the grant available for this purpose, were extremely appreciative of your efforts and the overall implementation of the project.
This type of workshop is important in fostering a sense of cooperation and goodwill between the Council and the
Community, to which your presentation did due to the professional manner in which it was conducted. It is hoped
that this presentation and the association with your Company can be repeated at another venue in the near future. Once again thanks immensely for a very well
constructed and delivered workshop.
Yours faithfully

Dear Alan and Stacey,
Thanks so much for your detailed and very encouraging report on Koala Park .Your skills in box design and placement have obviously been
appreciated by the park fauna !
Judy Burns
on behalf of the Nambour Community Association members.
Dear Stacey,
We have got gliders in one the boxes. We sat out one evening with the
binos with the boxes in silhouette and finally, when it was really quite
dark, a little head popped out of mine and then vanished. I yelled at
Eddie who was watching the other box, and he took up looking at mine, so if
there was something in the other, they probably slipped out and left while
we were excitedly carrying on.
The two rainbows are still climbing in and out of the parrot box. Poor
things, I think that they are so short of nesting sites that they are
staking their claim early and are going to sit in out until spring until
they can remember what to do next......
Cheers
Nicole Burke.
